Join us for the next fly tying session at the Parsippany Library, 449 Halsey Rd, Parsippany, on Monday evening, May 20th from 6:45 to 8:45. Hacklebarney board member, Steve Widuta will show us “A new look at an old fly”. Steve will demonstrate how he combines just a few simple materials to tie several variations of the Pheasant Tail and Partridge. Whether you’ve been tying for years or you’re leaning over the vise for the first time, it’s a pattern that can change the way you think about what makes a truly effective fly. Tyers should bring a vise, bobbin, hackle pliers, scissors, dubbing tool, spinning tool, half hitch or a straw, and whip finish tool. You will need brown and red thread, 6/0 or 8/0, and small gold or copper wire
It’s fun, and it’s FREE!! All are welcome. Please let us know if you can make it. Email htuprez@gmail.com
