2021 Flyfisherman of the Year, Bill Sjovall landed and safely released this Holy Grail Striped Bass on an 8 weight fly rod, at the NJ shore, in May 2022. The bass measured 48" long with a 28" girth. Possibly 50 pounds?? The fly...a custom clouser Bill ties he calls The Greamsicle.

Little Lehigh Trip, May 14, 2022
Mark Pohndorf displays a 6.5 pound fly rod caught striped bass landed during his banquet auction saltwater trip guided by Bill Sjovall. Mark landed 11 more bass, many in the 5-6 pound class, and added a hickory shad. Not bad for his first time fly rodding the salt!

A beautiful 18in brown trout caught by Cliff Behrens on the Willowemoc using a #14 Purple Patriot, a 7 1/2 ft 4wt bamboo Young Perfectionist clone and 6x tippet. Bruce Pollock guided him to a private section of the Willow owned by the DeBruce Inn.
