Fly Tying Course will be happening starting on Feb 13th!

Hacklebarney will be conducting a fly tying seminar this winter.  If you have been, you know how awsome the course is, with all the personal instruction.  If you havent been, this is your chance to dive in to fly tying in a major way and learn from the best.  

Lets put it this way.  We are offering 21 hours of world class intruction for $40.  No one does it better, for a better price.

Fly Tying Night is tonight in Whippany!

Dont forget tonight at the hall in Whippany! Sam Sandus as the opening act, showing how to tie your own leaders at 7pm followed by some of the best tyers in this life. Tim Flagler, Mike McAuliffe, Dick Hepper and Jeff Kurt to name a few.  Be there or be a punk!

John Capazzo

 I have been slacking lately.  I feel especially bad about that this time around, as its taken me a month to say goodbye to a great man and Hacklebarney alumnus, John Capazzo.

John was a great fisherman, friend to many in the chapter and loyal member who always found time to help.

John, you will truly be missed.

Its been a while! Pot Luck Dinner and Auction this Thursday!

Sorry folks, its been a while since Ive been to the site.  Ive been lazy.  

I'm here to tell you about the best meeting of the year, the December auction and pot luck dinner.

This Thursday, bring your favorite dish and some gently used items to auction (or pawn off) to other members.  I personally keep a bag of stuff to bring and this year have a flask, some hats, books and other stuff.

In past years, Ive won a tin of Woodduck feathers and some other great stuff.

Also, as in past years, Ill be bringing my world famous Mac and Cheese for the pot luck dinner.  Kevin Gableman will be bringing has favorite venison dish.  I just hope the guy who brought the kielbasa and sourkraut does it again this year, because that stuff was delish!

So in summary, show up this Thursday at 7:30pm with food and stuff for auction.

Things could get out of hand.

Its the most wonderful time of the year!!!
