Fly Tying Monday, April 15th with Karl Barton

Join us for the next fly tying session at the Parsippany Library, 449 Halsey Rd, Parsippany, on Monday evening, April 15 from 6:45 to 8:45. Wet fly enthusiast Karl Barton will show us how he ties four deadly soft hackles. Tyers should bring a vise, bobbin, hackle pliers, scissors, razor blade, and whip finish tool.  For thread you will need 8/0 grey (light), 6/0 or 8/0 wine or black.

Raritan Headwaters Stream Clean-up and Trout Fest, Saturday, April 20th

Clean-up 8:30 am-Noon

We will meet at the parking lot next to Gronsky’s Milk House,125 W Main St, High Bridge at 8:30 am to assess the situation. Coffee and donuts will be served. If the South Branch is low enough we can collect any trash in the river. If it’s too high to wade we will just clean up along the banks in High Bridge. Trout Fest 2024 Noon-4 pm

Trout Fest 2024, sponsored by South Branch Outfitters, will be the 2nd annual community celebration of spring and everything fishing in Califon, NJ. Held at the Califon Island Park, there will be a great afternoon full of casting competitions, children's events, product demonstrations, handmade vendors, and good music, beer, and food for everyone to enjoy. Hacklebarney TU Chapter will have a table there.
